On this page:
This is an intermediate to advanced ability hatha yoga class that lasts for 1 1/2 hours. It is
primarily a Hatha Yoga class, low to medium energy, with themed programmes (e.g. learning the Agni Sarav sequence). The class has a significant sense of the spiritual and
includes taster sessions for many aspects of yoga including yoga philosophy, pranayama, concentration and mantra. There is a good relaxation at the end, often with a guided visualisation.
Entry Qualification
New entrants must have practised at Beginner level with a qualified yoga teacher for at least one term (10 weeks) within the last 3 months, including equivalent home practice.
If you are new to yoga you can join the Beginner Course to qualify. If you are a lapsed yogi, you can join the Restarter Course to qualify. Alternatively, to get up to speed, you can request private lessons in parallel with your home practice.
What You Will Do
In this class, you will:
- Receive systematic structural flexibility exercises to extend or maintain the range of your joint movements
- Most yoga asanas (postures) and sequences
- Basic pranayamas (breathing and energy work)
- Relaxation and basic meditation
- Taster sessions for yoga philosophy, mantra, etc.

To claim your early payment discount, payment must be made by the last class of the previous (half) term.
Cost
There are flexible payment options so you choose which suits you best. There is a drop-in rate so you can pay as you go and save if you cannot make a class. The rate for the regular attender rewards the committed yogi. There is a
good additional discount if you pay early for the whole term (and this avoids fiddling about with change every week too) or for just each half term if you prefer, although the saving is slightly less.
