Dance Like There’s No-one Watching!
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another.
Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough and we will be more content when they are. After that we’re frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to to go on a nice holiday, when we retire.
The truth is there’s no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?
Your life will always be filled with challenges. It’s best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway ... these obstacles are your life!

A wonderful way to find the time and space to do your yoga and still get to the office first thing. Build up your resistance to work stress through your yoga practice - easing out those
muscle knots and tight joints. Calm your mind so you can see the priorities better - including your life path.
The early Thursday morning class is timed to fit neatly into your morning routine of getting to work. It starts at 07.00 (hall open at 06.45). The class is conveniently located for
people living south of the M4 who work in Swindon or who travel by train from Swindon or by car on the M4 or A419.
This class could also be ideal for mothers with young children - let your husband get the kids up whilst you do your yoga and still get back in time to take them to school and let your husband get off to work.
Just turn up dressed ready for your practice (See What You Need to Take & How to Prepare Yourself), have a wonderful hour energising, stretching and calming, then just get
changed into your work clothes, have a quick bite of breakfast and be on your way to the office before 08.30.
The hall is warm and quiet with a warm cork floor and has plenty of car park space.
Entry Qualification
It is recommended that you attend a Beginners Course prior to this if you have never done
yoga before as the class will go straight into action with little time for explanations and demonstrations. If you are a lapsed yogi, it is recommended you join the Restarter Course.
However, if you are unable to take the evening Beginners Course or any other class, you can still join this early morning class - it will just be harder for you to develop the basics. So
either way, don’t be put off - give it a try!
What You Will Do
In this regular ongoing early morning class, you will learn and practice:
- How to consciously relax your body
- How to stretch and ‘let go’
- energising postures and sequences of movements
- to connect your body with your breath
- how to calm your mind and feel absolutely wonderful
- systematic freeing of your joints
- good alignment and balance of your body
Dates
Thursday mornings during term time from 07.00 to 08.00 plus 10 minutes or so for breakfast.
To claim your early payment discount, payment must be made by the last class of the previous (half) term.
Cost
There are flexible payment options so you choose which suits you best. There is a new drop-in rate so you can pay as you go and save if you cannot make a class. The rate for the
regular attender rewards the committed yogi. There is a good additional discount if you pay early for the whole term (and this avoids fiddling about too) or for just each half term if you prefer.

How to Get There (Chiseldon Church Hall)
Chiseldon Holy Cross Church Hall, Butts Road, Chiseldon.
From Wroughton, follow the road through Chiseldon and turn left into Mays Lane. Go down the hill and straight on up the High Street (to the right of the Elm Tree pub) and
turn right at the T-junction into Butts Road. After about 50 metres and a left bend, take the next sharp left (Butts Road bends right here) into an unmade road and the left fork leads into the car park (see photo).
From the A346 (main road between M4 J15 and Marlborough), take the turning into Butts Road (between the turning at the Esso garage and the Plough pub near J15). Where the
road bends left, continue straight on into an unmade road and the left fork leads into the car park (see photo).
If you want to refer to a map to the Church Hall go to the streetmap web site. Please
note, however, that the map does not show the unmade road - it is behind Church Street and entered from the bend in Butts Road.
Breakfast
Having made the effort to practice your yoga early, you do need to ensure you continue to make a good start to the day by having breakfast. With time at a premium, this will be a
quick stand-up breakfast, perhaps whilst you are making those urgent phone calls. Typical fare:
|
Toast
|
Tea (Fruit or ‘real’)
|
Coffee
|
|
Marmalade, Jam or Honey
|
Orange Juice
|
Spring Water
