How to Get There

A general hatha yoga practice session that will include connecting, limbering, posturing, pranayama and relaxation. The class is not designed for the tuition of beginners or those not familiar with common yoga postures, so the pace will be akin to a practice you may do at home. The aim is to provide a period to re-connect with the body and breath after a day's work. We will then gradually warm up the body, loosen joints and stretch tight muscles so we can safely practice yoga postures. We will work through a range of postures designed to work most parts of the body and leave you feeling alive and energised. The posture work will include some yoga sequences, such as the sun salutation. We will start to wind down our posture work with some inversions before spending a few minutes in pranayama practice (working with the breath and the body's subtle energy). The session will end with a longish period of relaxation, with some meditational theme, for about 15 minutes.

N.B. The accommodation is not guaranteed to be available for the whole period, but I expect to have at least a week's notice. Please ensure you provide your email address to me if you think you may wish to attend so I can contact you if there is a cancellatiion.
