How to Get There

This is a low  energy class using some hatha yoga postures with breath awareness but mainly focussing on the non-physical aspects of classical yoga.  It will be mainly sitting and include from week to week concentration, meditation, pranayama, philosophy, mantra and discussion. The class will encourage spiritual aspects to emerge.  The class lasts for about 1/2 hour from about 9:30 pm every Tuesday during school terms. It is held in the Marlborough Youth Centre, St Margaret’s Mead.  There are no youth activities at this time and the place is usually very quiet.  Good off-road parking is available.

The Classical Yoga Extension will only run if there is sufficient demand.

Entry Qualification

There are no entry qualifications - just a genuine interest in the multiplicity of aspects of classical yoga.

  • Mantra as an aid to concentration, calming the mind and energy healing
  • Discussion
