Beginners & Restarters Course from 9th October 2003

This is a 10 week course for the Beginner. The second 5 weeks is also the Restarters Course. Each class lasts for 1 1/2 hours. You can register your interest here if you have missed the current course.  For the Autumn 2003 Course, it starts at 8:00 pm on Thursdays from 9th October in Chiseldon at the School. See the eBrochure for this course. Should you wish to continue your Yoga after the end
of your course, you may continue at the Improvers Class or Posture-cise class.
Entry Qualification
For the beginner, there is obviously no qualification required apart from a genuine interest in yoga.
For the Restarters Course you must have practised at least at Beginner level with a qualified yoga teacher for at least one term (10 weeks), including equivalent home
practice. As a lapsed yogi, you are assumed to be familiar with the essence of yoga, most yoga asanas, basic breathing, basic relaxation, basic health & safety and an idea of yoga philosophy.
What You Will Do
In the Beginners Course, you will:
- Receive systematic structural flexibility exercises to open up the range of your joint movements
- Learn most basic yoga asanas (postures)
- Learn basic breathing
- Learn basic relaxation techniques
- Learn basic Health & Safety
- Learn the basics of yoga philosophy
- and all features of the Restarters Course
In the Restarters Course, you will:
- Receive systematic structural flexibility exercises to re-open up the range of your joint movements
- Practice basic yoga postures and connect the breath with the posture
- Gain strength and stamina

You need to pay for the whole course. There is a good discount if you pay early for the whole course. You need to pay to secure your place and pay the balance by the
due date to keep your place. Cancellations within 3 weeks of the start are subject to a £10 cancellation fee.

How to Get There
Chiseldon County Primary School
Castle View Road. Parking available.
- From Swindon, take the A419 south to the M4 (Junction 15) and continue straight over on the A346 towards Marlborough. From the motorway
roundabout, you go about half a mile up the hill and take the turning on the right, by the Esso garage, marked Chiseldon. After 25 metres, turn right onto CastleView Road.
- From Marlborough, thake the A346 north towards Swindon. As you enter Chiseldon, take the left turn, by the Esso garage, marked Chiseldon. After 25 metres, turn right onto CastleView Road.
- From Wroughton, take the B road to Chiseldon at the 3 Tuns pub roundabout. Don’t forget to left turn to Chiseldon after the Halcrow’s right hand bend. Once
in Chiseldon, turn left at the mini-roundabout and go almost up to the giveway sign at the A346 by the Esso garage. Just before this T-junction, turn left into CastleView Road.
From Castle View Road, follow the road past the large green open area on the left and the school is on the right where the main road turns left.

What to Wear & Bring
Please look at the wear & bring section on Don’s Yoga Classes page. As a minimum
you really only need to wear loose comfortable clothing, and preferably have a blanket to keep warm in relaxation. Also check the advice on how to prepare yourself.
If you are serious about embarking on a yogic path, you will greatly benefit from having your own non-slip yoga mat, block and belt so you can continue your practice at home. Follow this link - you can add these items to your on-line order and I will bring them to class.
